Frequently Asked Questions
Do you need experience to take a class?
No! I teach beginner classes that are geared towards those who have no lettering experience and who have never used a dip pen before.
How much do you charge?
Private calligraphy classes are $500 for up to 10 students, and $70 a person after that. Tickets include instructions and materials.
How many students can you teach in one class?
An ideal class size is 10-15 students; however, I can teach up to 50 students at one time without the use of any technology.
For larger classes, I will require the use of a projector to properly show students proper pen hold and movement, as well as being able to show real-time examples of writing along with them. This demonstration minimizes questions and the need for 1-on-1 time.

Host a Private Calligraphy Workshop
Gather your friends for a private calligraphy class to learn a new hobby together in the comfort of your home, or invite colleagues and team members for a fun bonding experience with a workshop.

What do you teach?
For the last five years I have taught the art of calligraphy to nearly 1000 students. I specialize in teaching introduction courses in modern calligraphy.
This signature course is 90-120 minutes and covers the basics of how to use a dip pen and ink, what basic strokes are and why they're important, how to build letterforms, and how to connect letters into words.
Introduction courses come with a beginner kit with all the materials needed for class as well as guidelines and worksheets to use during and after class.
Corporate Classes
I have had the pleasure of working with multiple companies, teaching live calligraphy classes at offices across Atlanta.
You can host a calligraphy class for team building and bonding, or to connect with clients and invite prospective customers to meet your sales reps while learning a fun new hobby! I can adjust the curriculum of the class to accommodate the time you have to host the class. This calligraphy class is great for a lunch and learn activity, or a happy hour addition.
