Personal Work, 2019

As we grow older, parts of us grow apart from the truest version of ourselves. Although this process can often be perceived as ugly, gruesome, and even cruel - this piece was painted out of that exact place. A place of painful, but necessary growth. Instead of holding a funeral for the parts of us that no longer serve us, this painting represents the beauty there is to come when we are united with our most essential and lovely selves.
